What is Rome, Italy like in 2021? There are far fewer tourists than normal! It's a great year to visit Rome. All of the tourist sites and museums are open, and they're a lot less crowded. We asked several of our Roman taxi drivers how the crowds in 2021 compare to a normal year, and they told us tourism in Rome is at about 35% of normal levels. So make 2021 your year to visit Rome!

We were in Italy for 10 days, but only had 72 hours in Rome, so we focused on visiting some of the must-see sights such as the Vatican, Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, the Coliseum etc., but we also made time for some "off the beaten path" sights such as the Knights of Malta Keyhole, Quartiere Coppedé, Trastevere, Capuchin Crypt of Santa Maria della Concezione and Villa Borgese.

And of course, no vlog of Rome, Italy in 2021 would be complete without an appearance of the famous Roman Pastas: Gricia, Cacio e Pepe, Carbonara, and Amatriciana.
