15 years in the making, Matt Dixon and I finally traverse the San Gabriels via skis, starting at Manker Flat and Mount Baldy, and finishing in Wrightwood. Our route follows the rarely-traveled North Backbone trail, linking the three highest peaks in the range, Mount Baldy, Dawson Peak, and Pine Mountain. Enjoy the extraordinary views--and the wind--deep in the heart of Southern California's San Gabriel Mountains.
