Canadians are split on whether a tax should be imposed on those unvaccinated against COVID-19, with 52 per cent in support of the idea and 48 per cent against, according to a poll done exclusively for Global News by Ipsos.

The same poll found while people are mixed in their opinions on a tax on the unvaccinated, there is a stronger majority in support of more restrictions on those without their shots, at 67 per cent in favour.

Attitudes towards the unvaccinated are also mixed, with about 73 per cent of Canadians surveyed saying they would welcome a vaccinated person into their homes without question, while only 36 per cent would do the same for someone unvaccinated.
