Car Insurance. Its one of the big costs of motoring, and there's a lot of news stories about how expensive it is. So I wasn't exactly looking forward to renewal time.

When my quote came through from my current insurer it was bad. A 57% hike for no reason other than because. I had a look for alternatives, and for a brief moment I thought I would only pay 30% more.

Then I realised I'd got one detail wrong on the comparison site, and my cheaper quote had gone. What replaced it was complete madness!
