Mike Whittaker is known in flying circles as a designer from the early days of microlights in the UK (Ultralights in the US)
He created a simple, self-build aeroplane using his background in stress at British Aerospace, this is his swansong creation, rather inelegantly christened The Plank. Here's a test flight at our strip handled by 85 years old Eddie Clapham.
