It's been over a year since the last version of this was made so I decided to give it one final update. The criteria is essentially the same as the last time, any song that was number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 during that month can be chosen as the most popular. If a song was number one for multiple months then I will either choose the second most popular song or a song that was blocked by multiple songs for a few months but was still a massive hit (Levitating for example).

The only changes in the way I made this was that I didn't include any secondary charts this time and if a song dropped out of the top 10 after it's first week at number 1 then it will not be counted.

This video was almost finished being made by the time Rich Men North of Richmond by Oliver Anthony hit number 1, so if that doesn't drop out of the top 10 next week then that would replace Seven as the most popular of August 2023.
