Tim takes the view that you can never have too many sets of playing cards in your life. And Tim, of course, has a fondness for unusual decks of cards!

Sugar lumps in the shapes of diamonds, hearts and spades. What happened to the clubs? And staying with the sweet theme, little rectangles of French nougat with playing card designs on them. Oh dear - I have just eaten the Queen of Diamonds!

A set of cards for visitors to London, where each card has a London scene on it. All in a very smart presentation box.

Tim then demonstrates some cards made by a printing firm in Taiwan, made in all sorts of shapes.

A deck of cards called 'The Black Pack' where each card is completely black, on both sides. Each card has little cut out pieces, which reveal the suit and value of the card. The King of Spades for instance.

'Fliks' is a deck of cards that appears normal on the face of it, but the back of the cards have a face on and when you riffle through the cards, the face animates. What fun!

The next deck has quite a subtle feature that you might miss initially. When cards get used a lot, they can become a bit dirty and end up sticking to each other. These cards have little raised bumps which means that the cards will never stick together since they never come into close contact with each other.

Finally, a set of cards each with a different cat picture. These are lenticular images, so if you tilt them at just the right angle, you get two cats for the price of one!
