Subaru Forester Wilderness AWD diagonal test note: No need to say that the added challenge of the ice and snow is NOTHING for the Subaru Forester! In normal mode, i was a challenge. But with X-mode turned on in the first mode, it was a walk in the park! X-mode 2 will spin the tires more. It's ideal in situations where you need momentum, but on our hill, we take it slow :P

The new Subaru Forester Wilderness is ready to get dirty on the adventure of your choice! These are some uncut shots of our small offroad adventures on ice and snow! This Forester is equipped with OEM tires, you can't feel it when you watch it, but this ice was slippery!

The Subaru Forester is your outdoor choice for a small SUV. It can go where most of its rivals can't thanks to its above-average ground clearance and standard symmetrical all-wheel drive. It also comes with many standard safety features and offers generous cargo space. Now, for 2022, Subaru further strengthens the Forester with the new Wilderness edition. The 2022 Subaru Forester Wilderness is the second model to wear the Subaru Wilderness badge. Similar to the Outback Wilderness that Subaru introduced last year, the Subaru Forester Wilderness has a slight suspension lift, giving it a total clearance of 9.2 inches. You also get skid plates and Yokohama Geolandar A / T G015 off-road tires that advertise their traction with raised white letters! All Foresters use a 2.5-liter flat-four that produces 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque, but the Wilderness gets a different continuously variable transmission with a wider gear differential. While other Foresters have seven manually selectable gears, the Wilderness has eight, as well as a lower first gear. All Subaru Forester Wilderness owners receive a Parks Canada Family / Group Discovery Pass as a gift to encourage them to go on an adventure.
