When we got our Goggles 3, we thought that there was a missing piece of foam that needed to be installed. After contacting DJI about this, we learned that this is part of the new design which helps reduce light leaks. It is also more comfortable, since the pressure is taken off the eye and nose area, and instead placed on the forehead.

We think this design makes a lot of sense and think it might catch on elsewhere.
