With teams of experienced professionals and a suite of sophisticated electronic platforms, we give our clients multiple ways to strategize, track and execute securities transactions in exchanges around the world.

Our team of professionals provides real-time insights that help shape execution strategies. We proactively monitor capital markets, searching for pockets of liquidity and news that may require changes to those strategies. The integration with the rest of the Goldman Sachs network also gives clients access to the firm's sectorized block trades and their specialized insight into price discovery.

The securities professionals in our Securities Division help institutional clients, including fund managers, financial service providers and large corporations, buy and sell financial instruments on exchanges around the world.

From developing trading strategies to the final clearing and execution of transactions, our professionals provide insights and strategies that help clients achieve their goals.


Careers in Sales & Trading (STD) at Goldman Sachs :
The Securities Division enables our clients to buy and sell financial products, raise funding and manage risk. We make markets and facilitate client transactions in fixed income, equity, currency and commodity products. In addition, we make markets in and clear client transactions on major stock, options and futures exchanges worldwide.

Through our global sales force, we maintain relationships with our clients, receiving orders and distributing investment research, trading ideas, market information and analysis.

How We're Organized

Our activities are organized by asset class. Our teams work with the following instruments:

Equities teams transact in stocks and other equity-related products, including convertible securities, options and futures. Their work includes financing, securities lending and other services for institutional investors.

Fixed income, currency and commodities teams transact in a variety of assets, including interest rate products (such as government bonds, treasury bills and other highly liquid instruments), credit products, mortgages, currencies and commodities.
