I rode the LAX FlyAway bus service from Los Angeles Airport out to Union Station, home of Amtrak and Metrolink and other transportation services. I paid with a virtual TAP card using Apple Pay on my iPhone, and the ride was pretty quick and easy. A couple weeks later, I did the same trip in reverse, this time at night. It was just as simple a ride, but the payment was much more confusing this time. So, this is what finding and riding the FlyAway bus was like for me, both ways. Plus, how to pay and how NOT to pay.
