The Karakurt class, Russian designation Project 22800 Karakurt, is Russia's latest class of corvettes (small missile-ships in Russian classification) under construction for the Russian Navy. The class is intended as a more seaworthy, blue-water complement to the Buyan-M class corvettes, designed for the littoral zone and which as of 2015 serve in Russia's Caspian Flotilla, Baltic Fleet and Black Sea Fleet. The ships are designed to be armed with Kalibr or Oniks anti-ship cruise missiles and have an endurance of 15 days. They are also to be a cheap alternative for larger Admiral Grigorovich class frigates, for which construction was delayed due to the suspended military cooperation with Ukraine, and because of Russia's intention to continue the modernization of its navy until all necessary tasks for construction of larger vessels domestically are solved. Ships of the class have a stealth shaped superstructure with an integrated mast carrying four phased array radar panels. The primary armament consists of Kalibr cruise missiles or P-800 Oniks supersonic anti-ship missiles carried in eight UKSK VLS cells in the rear part of the superstructure, behind the bridge. The corvettes built for the Russian Navy will be equipped with a 76.2 mm AK-176MA automatic dual-purpose gun, a modernized version of the AK-176. However, at least on the first ship, the 100 mm A-190 was installed. A proposed export version may carry the Italian OTO Melara 76 mm gun. For anti-missile defense, the first two ships will only carry a pair of AK-630M gun-based CIWS. Starting from the third ship, they will be equipped with Pantsir-M/EM, a navalized version of the Pantsir surface-to-air missile system. The third vessel of the class, Odintsovo, entered service in the Baltic Fleet with the Pantsir-M/EM system in November 2020.
Pantsir-M/EM Naval variant of the land-based Pantsir-S1 first unveiled in July 2015. The system uses two GSh-6-30K/AO-18KD 30 mm (1.2 in) six-barrel rotary cannons, as found on the Kashtan/Kortik CIWS, eight missiles instead 12 and an additional radar separate from the one fitted on top of the turret itself. The Pantsir-M can simultaneously engage four targets with four missiles in an altitude from 2 to 15 km and at a range of 20 km. The system has an ammunition supply of 32 missiles and is comprised by several combat modules, including ammunition supply module in the storage and reloading system under the deck. It may by fitted with surface-to-air missiles from both Pantsir-S and Hermes-K air defence systems with maximum firing range of the later up to 100 km (62 mi). In the future it will replace the Kashtan/Kortik CIWS on all Russian Navy's warships, starting by Karakurt-class corvettes in 2018. Trials of Pantsir-M/ME began in December 2017, and the system entered service in February 2019.

Малые ракетные корабли проекта 22800 «Каракурт» — серия российских многоцелевых малых ракетно-артиллерийских кораблей 3-го ранга (МРК) малого водоизмещения с управляемым ракетным вооружением ближней морской зоны ВМФ России, по другой классификации это малые корветы. Планируется что корабли данного проекта, приспособленные для действий в открытом море, станут дополнением малых ракетных кораблей проекта 21631 «Буян-М», предназначенных для мелководных морей и больших рек (условно класс «река-море»). Корабль оснащён интегрированной мачтой с размещёнными на ней двумя неподвижными фазированными антенными решётками многофункционального радиолокационного комплекса «Минерал-М». Корабли серии 22800 должны обладать, по сравнению с представителями МРК другого российского проекта 21631, лучшей мореходностью, так как изначально предназначены для использования на открытых морских театрах. Вооружение кораблей проекта 22800 включает в себя: «Калибр-НК»; комплекса (УКСК) 3С14; ракеты «Оникс», а в перспективе «Циркон»; 100-мм А-190 или 76-мм АК-176; 30-мм АК-306 или 57-мм А-220М; 30-мм АК-630. Начиная с третьего корабля взамен последних на МРК устанавливается зенитный ракетно-артиллерийский комплекс «Панцирь-М».
Панцирь-М — морской вариант ЗРПК «Панцирь-С» в нем содержится 8 готовых ракет 32 в запасе, две 30-мм пушки ГШ-6-30. С июля 2015 года предполагалось начать серийное производство. В августе 2015 размещён заказ на первые три комплекса; 30 апреля 2018 спущен на воду первый МРК проекта 22800 («Одинцово»), оснащенный комплексом; в ноябре 2020 он завершил государственные испытания.
