Gigafactory Texas on 20 July 2021! This is where the Cyber Truck and Model Y will be built!

Busy morning despite heavy rains and thunderstorms last night bringing back some standing water and mud. Activity was heavy both inside the main structure and around it this morning, including several truck deliveries of steel columns, beams and associated parts.

Here are the highlights from today's video:
- The “Alleyway” area between the paint shop and the battery cell structures is getting large steel columns and connecting beams installed this morning … this is part of the process to complete this area and connect the roof across into one contiguous section.
- The “central area” is also getting more steel assembled onto the structure that will complete this area, which will also allow for a common roof to be installed over the top. Roof and flooring decking is being installed rapidly, just behind the steel erection, so progress is quick. The steel structure is now over 7 sections long (towards the south) and 5 sections wide. Rains the previous evening have left noticeable standing water in the southern end.
- The General Assembly structure is getting the entire west side loading dock area poured with concrete, now two large sections completed and much of the rest of the area getting final preparations to pour the concrete. They are also pouring concrete floors on the west side 3rd floor and near the south end! Finally, several cranes are at work adding more steel to the south end of the structure.
- The casting machine area now has all concrete columns installed, all but three connecting beams and most of the roof “Double-T” panels. No signs yet of casting machine foundation or main slab construction yet. Also, they need to construct the perimeter grade beam before wall panels can be installed.
- Also in the casting machine area, we see more castings are being manufactured and then loaded onto trucks for transport off-site. It is still unclear if these are being stored somewhere for future use at Giga Texas, shipped elsewhere (possibly the Fremont factory in California), or to recycling.
- The battery cell structure cementitious roofing covering work continues, and now almost 50% of the roof is now covered with this material. The cooling equipment basic installation appears to be completed on the 4th floor, and the 2nd floor, west side near the large tanks is getting concrete poured this morning.
- On the east side foundation area, we see more fill dirt being delivered from off-site via center-dump trucks and bulldozers moving the dirt around and getting it level. Also, the temporary material storage and equipment area continues to grow.
