I make a quarterly photography zine and in this video I share my process for selecting the cover.

I choose a cover first because, with my Mystery Zine, I only show the cover when it goes up for sale. The contents of the zine remain a mystery until it shows up on buyers' doorsteps.

I print with Blurb and design in their free software, BookWright.
