The Minas-San Francisco hydroelectric power station in Ecuador, designed and constructed by Harbin Electric Corporation, has provided light and warmth to over 220,000 households, reducing more than 690,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually. The number of plant species inthe project area has increased from 66 to 141, including five species unique to Ecuador.
