Sprinkler Winterization/blowout will cost you anywhere between $50 and $250, with an average around $80.

To avoid costly repairs from burst pipes in the winter, and to save some money, I did some research and figured out how to do it myself! Its actually pretty simple, and once you do it the first time, you are good to go for many years to come!

Naturally I decided to make a "quick video" about it and show you how :)

I used a 4 Gallon Compressor, Pipe Wrench, Teflon Tape, and a Fitting for the Sprinkler System Connection.

Edit 12/10: My 4 gallon compressor was just enough to clear the water out of a zone, anything smaller and it might not work. I had my compressor set @75psi. Water pressure is typically between 50-70psi, but must not exceed 80psi. So you can experiment with lower psi as well! (hat tip to Gary!)

Check out my website for more information on this project and check out my Instagram when you get the chance! Thanks!
