This is the orange group enduro race from Road Atlanta. The tire pressures had been set to 26psi prior to starting the race and previously this had been resulting in about 35psi during a session. However, it was about 10 degrees warmer than the previous day and the pressures were higher and grip felt terrible. The lap times went from 1:41 to 1:49 over a 9 lap period. Basic math then forced the issue and the decision was made to come in and drop the pressures. This worked but cost us about 1min 9secs, but we gained more than that back. The next lap was a 1:43. The real goal for this enduro was to first, make it to the end without issues or incidents, but secondly, to get the pit stop right. At VIR the pit stop time was 5:24, so a 24 second disadvantage. We had come back this weekend to make up for that, and we did. This pit stop was 5:01...as good as we could have asked for. It gave us redemption, as did finishing the race.
