Presentation by Dr. Heather Couture, Pixel Scientia Labs | The world's 18,000 #fossilfuel power plants account for about 30% of global #greenhousegas emissions, and continuous monitoring systems are only installed on power plants in a small number of countries. To improve understanding of the major sources of greenhouse gas #emissions, this project uses #remotesensing data from existing satellites and #machinelearning to identify the sources of greenhouse gas emissions from #powerplants across the world.
