Filthy McNasty were a short lived band consisting of Chris Thompson, Stevie Lange, Billy Christian, Clive Edwards, Geoff Whitehorn playing the pub circuit in London, in particular at the Bridge House in Newham. Formed around 1978, they were a side project for Chris Thompson who was busy with Manfred Mann's Earth Band at that time. In 1979 they split but formed the nucleus of Thompson's new band, Night, releasing two albums, Night and Long Distance before splitting up in 1980.
Filthy McNasty's only commercially recorded material consists of three tracks, 'Fire Down Below', 'I Can't Get Next To You' and 'Move Over' which appear on the 1978 album 'Live - At The Bridge E16'.
This footage is rare and whilst not of the best quality allows a glimpse of Filthy McNasty in action.
