Snake-A-Way is an effective, easy-to-use granular repellent that is designed to prevent venomous and non-venomous snakes from invading treated properties.

Before applying Snake-A-Way granules to prevent snakes from invading, it’s important to put on the proper personal protective equipment, or PPE, you need to protect yourself. While gloves are a must, we also recommend you wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, long sleeves, and a mask to protect your skin, face, and respiratory system.

Wearing gloves, create thick bands of Snake-A-Way around the areas you want to protect. You can apply Snake-A-Way outdoors around places like houses, cabins, trailers, garages, barns, woodpiles, sand piles, trash cans, and flower beds. Do not apply Snake-A-Way to gardens or fields of crops grown for food or feed, and do not apply directly to water or to areas where surface water is present as this product is toxic to fish.

To repel non-venomous snakes, like garter snakes, the band you create should be 4 to 5 inches wide. To repel venomous snakes, like rattlesnakes, you’ll need to create bands that are 8 to 12 inches wide. In lawns and flowerbeds, you can lightly sprinkle granules within the area.
