I talk about one of the most important EE problems you learn in school, as well as the tricky and cool method in which you solve this problem. I also explain why the result of this problem has important implications. I learned this in my introductory signal processing course but I saw this exact question years later in my Stanford PhD Quals Exam. This concept is also something hardware and circuits people will also use, not just signal processing folks. Bottom line, this is important. Hope you enjoy.
