"Little Women" (1994) does this thing where they'll open a scene with an insert on an object... and then pan over to a person's face—thereby transitioning the insert into a close-up. I think it's so good at establishing intimacy, character, and spatial awareness that I went ahead and assembled a supercut of every instance in the film. No commentary. I just think it's neat!
