This session, led by Manal Omar, Acting Vice President for the Middle East and Africa Center at the U.S. Institute for Peace., will address America’s misunderstandings with the role of women in Islam. We will explore the Qur’anic teachings and Muslim interpretations of gender roles in Islam.
