Under the bonnet, there's a 1.5 litre turbo petrol engine. The engine is paired with a battery motor combo, the battery has a 16.6 kWh capacity and gives you 63km of pure electric range.

The combined power output is 189 kW of power and 370 nm of torque. Fuel consumption with no EV mode active will be about 5.9 L per 100km, your combined consumption with EV is 1.9 L. 0-100km/h is 6.9 seconds.

Pricing for the MG HS Plus starts at $49,670 driveaway for the Excite and for this top trim Essence, it’s $52,690 driveaway.
