Learning how to use paddle shifters in your car can seem scary along with trying to figure out how to use manual mode in an automatic car. The good news is that it's actually super simple and there are only a few steps you need to follow to use paddle shifters in your car/truck/SUV. In my case, I am demonstrating how to use paddle shifters in my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT.
Make sure that when using your paddle shifters you remember to focus on your RPMs until you get used to the feeling and sound of when you should shift!
Step 1: Get used to driving your automatic car in whichever mode you prefer and take note of what RPM your vehicle shifts at.
Step 2: Engage your manual mode by pressing the right paddle (upshift).
Step 3: Drive until your car reaches the natural shift point (or go further for a pull - but be careful of the redline).
Step 4: Have fun!
