The Zempoaltepetl, the mountain of the twenty divinities represents a sacred temple for the Mixe culture.

We had the privilege of witnessing the connection between man and nature, by witnessing the ancestral ceremonies of the Mixes.

This region of Oaxaca, known as the “Zempoaltépetl knot”, is where the territory of Mexico becomes narrow, like a funnel.

The venerable massif is located less than 3 hours from the capital of Oaxaca in the Sierra Mixe.
