https://rmolawyers.com/ -- Can a trustee steal from a family trust? Legally, no. Nobody can steal from anybody. But the reality is that we see it all the time.

Most of the time it's a family member, or a friend of the family who's serving as trustee. Sometimes it's intentional, sometimes it's not. Sometimes it's somebody who just doesn't really understand what they're entitled to and what they're not entitled to, and they're just taking what they think they're entitled to.

Occasionally we see trustees who are private, professional fiduciaries stealing from trust, although it's rare. If you're the beneficiary or the trustee of a trust that has experienced some sort of theft, give us a call or shoot us an email. We're happy to talk through with you. Thanks for watching.
