Wait, it's NOT all wheel drive? Or, at least that's what some people have told me anyway. This time, we're removing, disassembling, and rebuilding my NV149 transfer case to prepare it to work with my 4l80 transmission in my LSA Supercharged COPO truck. This involves completely disassembling and cleaning the transfer case, installing a new 32 spline input shaft instead of the old 27 spline version, throwing in some new bearings and seals, and then putting it all back together. The COPO truck is my 2000 silverado which has a 4.8 liter LR4 V8, an LSA supercharger, and all wheel drive system from a Yukon Denali, and 4.30 gears. Its a blast to drive the truck, and I can't wait to turn up the power even more, but first, we need to sort out the last piece of the drivetrain puzzle, the transmission.
