Ah, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, home to many gods, deities and cosmic beings we have all grown to either love or hate. After the events of Thor: Love and Thunder and the God of Thunder’s visit to Omnipotence City, we have met and heard references to more gods than one mere mortal man could possibly count. With most of these characters closelt derived from comic book pages, some of these gods have been interpreted slightly differently in the MCU.

Whether worshiped or tasked with preserving the balance of the universe, all gods are different, most heroic, with some being hellbent on destruction and revenge. Essentially what real world mythology is altered and fashioned in order to fight alongside or against with the likes of Spider-Man and Ironman, there are many who are linked solely to Marvel lore.

Asgardians, Marvel’s interpretation of mythological Norse gods, are for the most part good and wise, such as the Warriors Three, Thor and Odin. Some Asgardians such as Hela, Loki and others, aren’t so friendly. Olympians, of course Marvel’s take on Greek mythos, have been recently introduced as Zeus and Hercules set out to wage war on supers. Of course Egyptian gods, Wakandan gods and Celestials play a major part in MCU lore.
