Namaste from under the sea!
The Little Mermaid's live action film recently completed its course in theatres around here and various other countries, and bracing for the coming days when there would hopefully be lots more clips around from that film, I thought let's revisit the animated version for a crucial scene with the sassy villainess of the film - Octopus Witch Ursula.

Her song "Poor Unfortunate Souls" is nothing but an acid trip through which poor Ariel is dragged until she succumbs to the constant manipulation and pushing and gives up her voice. However, right before Ariel signs the contract, Ursula pushes her one last time for the job, and here's where translators played REALLY well in laying out her personality....from a sneaky gaslighter to a groomer and in some cases....a straight up drug dealer XDD

Following languages are included in the video along with their translations (thanks, in most part, to contributors on LyricsTranslate, YouTube S&T videos as well as @monaze_rose1947 for the Guoyu translation and @Mainn for the Thai one): -

1. English (animated & live-action versions)
2. Arabic
3. Cantonese
4. Danish
5. German
6. Greek
7. Guóyǔ
8. Hindi
9. Italian
10. Japanese
11. Korean
12. Norwegian
13. Québécois
14. Spanish
15. Swedish
16. Thai
17. Ukrainian

So, which of these translations did you feel were the most manipulative, sneaky, and toxic? Which one SHOCKED you the most? Lemme know in the comments below!
