Thorlabs demonstrates two techniques for aligning a laser beam to travel parallel with the optical table. The first technique assumes the tip and tilt of the laser's pointing angle can be adjusted and uses a ruler to level the beam and direct it along a row of holes in the table. The second technique assumes the angle of the input laser beam is fixed. Two turning mirrors and two irises are used to level the beam and direct it along an orthogonal row of holes in the table.
