The Volvo Concept Recharge is a preview of the future of Volvo. It showcases new design language based around the brand's electric future, highlighted by the lack of a grille, wheels pushed to the far corners and a low roof and large passenger area. It also features a lidar sensor, a key piece that will be standard along with radar and camera sensors on next-generation Volvo cars to enable advanced driver aids and Level 3 autonomous driving. Volvo is also improving its battery technology and infotainment systems, also previewed in this concept. Expect to see many of these styling cues and features to appear next year on Volvo's new production SUV, which is apparently the successor to the XC90.
