The Good Doctor is a medical drama about Dr. Shaun Murphy, an autistic surgeon with savant syndrome. Today, I wanted to talk about the show in terms of autistic representation (and in general.) Let me know what you think of the representation in this show and representation of disability & ASD (autism spectrum disorder) in general.

Asperger’s Syndrome is no longer a diagnostic term, but since many people don’t know that, it’s still a big search term on YouTube. The only point of this paragraph is to use the word Asperger's because not only do people still search for it, it is the #1 search term for my channel. So, I’m typing about Asperger’s Disorder to get this video pushed out to people who want to learn about autism and are probably being given a lot of outdated information from when Asperger’s was still recognized as its own neurodevelopmental condition separate from Autism Spectrum Disorder.
