The legend of a born unicorn founder seems to be, to a certain extent, a myth. We tend to see a magical aura around unicorn founders, while in reality, founders can be guided to reach a billion-dollar valuation.

Mar Hershenson founded Pear VC in 2013 and her bets on companies like Doordash and Gusto have taken her this year to the global Midas List. The specialty of Pear VC is that they don’t just invest early in startups, but they have an accelerator consisting of 10-15 startups, which they mentor from 0 to 1 and beyond.

Now Pear VC is expanding into Europe – a process led by Pepe Agell. He’ll join Mar on stage to discuss how to create founders and where to find them. Harry Stebbings, Founder of 20VC, will be leading this conversation.
