Follow us to a stunning Camping and Fishing Paradise in the Bay of Plenty!
This is a hidden gem nestled in Maraenui between Opotiki and the East Cape in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. It is a private (Park Over Property) campsite for members of the New Zealand Motorhome Association (NZMCA) This fishing spot is perfect for surfcasting and drone fishing.
We even managed to launch our Aqua Marina Aircat Fishing Boat here.
We'll also be doing some drone fishing using our trusty DJI Phantom 3. Learn about our unique setup, featuring a Shimano reel with a braided line that allows us to feel every bite, even at 300 meters.
We spent a fantastic 5 days camping and fishing here. We managed to catch a big snapper off the beach!
We also enjoyed the snapper feast with our favourite snapper head and wings! It was a tasty treat from our catch!
