Once upon a time, along the Rine River in Germany there lived giants...
One such giant was named K, he was an exceptionally skilled shoe-maker so much so that he married a princess. The two of them had many children and they loved to travel the world. The family was collectively called the K+ family.

On their many travels they once stumbled upon the golden shores of an island then named, Thambapanni (meaning gold sand). As the giants landed set foot on the beautiful island, the islanders fled in fear. Fearful of the giants most of them were in hiding. But the island children soon made friends with the K children. An the K children pleaded with their parents to stay a few days on the island.

The giants invited the children aboard their ship and made tiny shoes for them. When the island children went home to their parents and showed them the shoes, the parents were impressed and started warming up to the K+ Giant family. They soon took gifts of thanks to the Giants and the giant made them shoes too.

The giants and the islanders lived in harmony for a few years on this island and by the time they left many people on the island had the beautiful K+ shoes which they held on to generations as valuable treasures.

The good-news is, that there is a rumour that these K+ shoes may return to Sri Lanka....
The End.
