2040 is Singapore's deadline to phase out internal combustion engines. Right now, only about five per cent of vehicles in Singapore are "green" - hybrid or electric. More incentives will roll out next year to promote the use of electric cars - but are they enough? Are green cars really as environmentally friendly as they made out to be? Is there a better, cleaner alternative to electric vehicles?
