It appears that the Chevrolet Bolt EV is suffering from a bit of PEBCAB (problem encountered between charger and battery). Many current and prospective Bolt EV owners are concerned about its DC fast charging speeds, which are clearly lower than the battery can accept. In addition, because these charging speeds appear capped by the CCS socket and harness, the Bolt EV isn't able to leverage one of its strengths while charging at peak speeds, which is being able to draw additional power to condition the battery and cabin.
GM should offer existing Bolt EV owners to option to upgrade as well as offer a 200+ A CCS option for future Bolt EV models.
