I do not own Marvel or Captain America and this video is intended to be educational edutainment for how cape comics shows in the 60s were done by the studios who made them.

Captain America is one of Marvel's older properties and honestly while this show may be cheap and intentionally hilarious it has a lot more action than some of Filmation's shows from the same era. I enjoyed watching it both ironically and unironically and at least it wasn't boring. Also reading some of the issues of Captain America and Avengers that got directly adapted to this shows how much work went into making this show. Like, that scene of Captain America going insane and falling off the bridge? It didn't go down like that. That took some creativity to match the laziness. Like a college student bullshitting an essay the night before and getting a passing grade.

Some stuff got cut out like Cap's older shield. The scene where the Red Skull says don't open the door didn't go down that way either. Cap breaks down the door instead of the goon opening it but he broke through with his old shield so they had to do the scene another way. It's actually kind of impressive.

It's kind of surprising how boyish Bucky used in the early issues but then you have to remember that Stan Lee played no part in creating the character and that's why there's a sidekick in Marvel. Stan hated sidekicks and had him killed off ... or so he thought.

Now. If this video and channel doesn't get nuked I'll move to Thor and the other 1966 shows in an educational manner.
