A little experimentation with more like vlog style of shooting during our one night camping trip to Pisgah National Forest. Definitely could have been better. I’ve got some things to work on.

But how did the camping go? Well, we wanted to find a roadside dispersed camping site, but they were all full for the weekend. Backcountry camping is allowed so we found an old forest road that had been turned into a trail and hiked down it to set up camp.

If you’re interested in backpacking or backcountry camping, definitely check out my article about our trip to Black Balsam Knob.

In the morning, we decided to hike a nearby trail. The Sunwall trail is mostly used by rock climbers since it leads you to the base of Looking Glass Rock. The short trail is deceptively hard as the last ~.2 miles of it are steeply uphill.

Sunwall Trail
Distance: ~1 miles roundtrip
Difficulty: Moderate
Trailhead: Located along Forest Road 475B or Headwaters Road
Elevation Change: ~400ft
Time: less than an hour

Gear:
GoPro Hero 9
