Not all trails are destination trails. Sidewinder Canyon (2n70y) doesn't warrant a trip by itself. It's less than 2 miles long and doesn't take you anywhere. But, it is a bit of a hidden gem, and if you're heading to Big Bear from Pioneertown, along Burns Canyon Road, and you want to add a little spice to the trip, be on the lookout for this little loop. It can also be a fun addition to Rattlesnake Canyon, or a warmup for Heartbreak Ridge. Heck, on this day out with friends (check out @xtineandrews over on TikTok) we hit all of that and more!
