Before embarking on a road trip with kids, practice these three Ps for safety:

Proper Use:
Ensure your kids’ car seats and boosters are properly installed and adjusted (they do grow quickly!). Read and follow your manuals and consider having a CPST check them out!

Plan For Breaks:
Everybody, of all ages, should plan to get out for about 15 minutes (or more) about every 2 hours. This increases circulation to prevent blood clots, prevents driver fatigue, and gives everyone a chance to tend to food and bathroom needs.

Projectile Management:
Remember that anything not strapped down can become a projectile hazard in a crash. While we can’t eliminate projectiles completely, we can be mindful when we plan and pack to reduce risks.
