Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

This Dollar Tree DIY is very easy to do. Everything you need to make these light up Christmas Gifts can be found at the Dollar Tree. However I did use the 20 count lights from Walmart that cost $1.88 a strand in the smaller box, because they have the lights on a white cord and it doesn't show through the package a little less than the green wired one does. If all you can find is the Dollar Tree lights, you could always consider wrapping the cord in some masking tape to help it blend in. Dollar Tree does sell masking tape and it is practically identical in color to the cream colored shelf liner I used to wrap the package. I've seen other crafters make these light up gifts using plastic tubs, cardboard boxes, and the white wire shelves wired together. I thought to use the cooling racks because it gave me more options to change the sizes by simply cutting the racks down to smaller sizes. I am in love with these light up gifts. I can't wait to put them under my tree. My kids are already bugging to put the tree up tomorrow, and I'm dreading a kitten and a tree lol. Though I did get a tip that if you put orange peels under the tree near the base it will deter the cat from crawling up the tree... I'm going to give it a try and see if it works lol. Fingers crossed :)
Thanks so much for watching. Please check back for tomorrows Dollar Tree video. It will be up early Friday morning.
Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours!
