A Bombardier Challenger 604 plane crashed on Interstate 75 in southwest Florida on Friday, hitting two cars according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). One occupant of the vehicles sustained significant injuries, while three others escaped unharmed. The identities of the car occupants remain undisclosed. The FAA reported five individuals on board the aircraft, with pilot Edward Daniel Murphy, 50, of Oakland Park, and second in command Ian Frederick Hofmann, 65, of Pompano Beach confirmed as the two fatalities by the Collier County Sheriff's Office on social media.
