Welcome to my first-time watching as we react to War for the Planet of the Apes (2017). This is the climatic conclusion to the Planet of the Apes trilogy! I was not ready for what this film had in store for us. The deep layered themes, the emotional beats and an incredible narrative.

The monumental conflict in this film had me at the edge of my seat! Directed by Matt Reeves, "War for the Planet of the Apes" follows Caesar and his fellow apes as they face off against a ruthless human army led by the Colonel. This film truly takes a deep dive into the themes that were also explored in the first two films. We got to explore loyalty, vengeance, and redemption.

Andy Serkis as Caesar is killing it once again with his tremendous performance breathing life into this character with every gesture and every piece of dialogue he's given.

Michael Giacchino gives us yet another homerun with this soundtrack. Our favorite out of all three films.
