This video will teach you how to buy pliers as an electrician.

When I first started as an electrician, I had a Greenlee Starter Pack.. which included a pair of comfy grip pliers. These were great in my first years.

I then wanted to try a pair of Klein Tools pliers because that's what you'd see most electricians use on the jobsite for their hand tools.

I was told to buy "hardened steel" (the 2000 Series with Klein Tools), and those pliers lasted me YEARS with no sign of weakness of the years (except for the dipped insulation grips which took a beating from usage).

I cut through MANY screws, used the pliers for hitting (which isn't recommended), and they still cut like the first day I purchased them!
