The Ken Dodd Show, BBC Radio 1963-66. Sadly only 14 out of 35 shows still exist in the BBC archives from that 1963-66 period, as shown below. This video brings together, for the first time, all the music performances from these 14 shows - 28 songs, 14 from the music guests of the week, and 14 sung by Ken Dodd. Live music from the BBC Playhouse Theatre, Hulme, Manchester, with the BBC Revue Orchestra. All music performances are in broadcast date order. As you can see from this list, The Ken Dodd Show attracted many of the top recording artists of the 60s to appear on the show. It's very sad that so many of these shows are now lost to history.
