All New 2025 Toyota 4Runner Hybrid Launched - What's New?

Welcome back to NewCarVisions! Today, we're taking a closer look at a long-awaited arrival: the all-new 2025 Toyota 4Runner.

It's been a full 15 years since the last redesign, and let me tell you, Toyota has completely overhauled this iconic off-roader.

Built from the Ground Up.

The 2025 4Runner sits on the new TNGA-F platform, a foundation shared with the recently introduced Tacoma.

This translates to a more robust chassis and improved handling, both on and off-road.

Powertrains for Every Adventure.

The outdated V6 is finally out. Now, the standard engine is a powerful 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that delivers 278 horsepower and a whopping 378 pound-feet of torque.

That's a significant bump compared to the outgoing model.

Craving even more muscle? The optional I-Force Max hybrid system ups the ante to 326 horsepower and a staggering 465 pound-feet of torque.

Both engines are paired with a new eight-speed automatic transmission, replacing the old five-speed unit.
