Western Outdoors News Rockfish Rumble was held on April 6th 2023. Heading out of Ventura Harbor Sportfishing was the Californian, Island Spirit and the Pacific Eagle. All anglers gave it there best but it was the Pacific Eagle that cam out on tip not only producing a first place winner but also producing a 2nd and 3rd place Pedro Pino’s 5 lb 14oz vermillion rockfish took both the boat jackpot as well as close to $400 in cash plus tackle prizes. Bruce Jochums’ 5 lb 9oz score was good for second and $260, whilst Luis Tejeda took third with 3 lb 14oz.
