Customers asked for it constantly, so Audi Australia have brought the TDI six-cylinder diesel back to the uber-popular SQ5 midsize sports SUV. The 3.0-litre petrol TFSI never sold as well as the old first-generation SQ5 diesel, so that situation has now been rectified, with the factory agreeing to send Australia the very latest SQ5 TDI which features a turbo 3.0L turbo V6 in concert with a 48v mild hybrid system for more instant torque.
So, how good is the updated 2022 SQ5? Is the Audi a match for the BMW X3 M40i or the Mercedes-AMG GLC 43? Is it better than both? And should you wait for the new SQ5 Sportback?
In today’s video, Tom takes a detailed look at a well-equipped SQ5 TDI in Ultra Blue in 3.0L V6 Quattro AWD guise to give you detailed insights about this vehicle.
